The 2020 conference was organized by Paul Schweinzer, Department of Economics at Alpen-Adria-University of Klagenfurt/Celovec, Austria, and took place on Thursday-Saturday, 11th-13th June 2020, in a free, open access online environment instead of the originally planned physical meeting at Klagenfurt due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

2018 Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design.
The Society held its inaugural conference on Saturday-Sunday, 12th-13th May 2018. It was hosted by the Business School, Durham University, the third oldest and prestigious university in England. Durham is a beautiful small town with a magnificent Cathedral on the top of a hill, a world heritage site.
